Timeless

In support of orphanages/hospices, we annually invite the clients and friends of the Company to an annual charity photo exhibition tagged Timeless...
The exhibition does 2 things:
Raises money to finance feeding, clothing, scholarships and projects (classrooms, restrooms, furniture, etc) in orphanages / hospices.
Creates a renewed awareness about the needs of children in
orphanages / hospices.
From the funds raised from the 2005 and 2006 editions of Timeless and matching grants from Alder, we donated foodstuff, clothes, generators, fixed wireless telephone, mattresses, computer, sewing machines, radio cassette recorders and other items to the orphanages.
Soup Kitchen
In developing our Soup Kitchen programme, we asked ourselves a very simple question: “Where can the hungry be found?” One answer was: “On the streets”.
Since 2005, we have fed thousands of homeless and hungry under the bridges of Lagos and environs.
Support for Faith Based Organisations focused on Social Reformation & Youths
Over the years, we have embarked on programmes geared towards youth development and orientation. We instituted the Youth Renewal Program which was aimed at providing educational grants, counsel on career development and life direction to inner city kids. The youths were also attached to dedicated faith based organisations who were able to provide spiritual counseling.
The success of the initiative was evident in improvement in academic performance and behaviour.
Extreme Life Make Over
This is a grass-to-grace programme for families that have run out of luck, are impoverished and becoming destitute. It includes the provision of fully furnished apartments with electronics, power generating set, provisions and financial aid to restart life.
Alder Business Micro-Finance
This is a micro-finance fund for daily-sales-based businesses. It is our desire to progressively finance small business owners.
The beneficiaries are given an initial grant and where they prove industrious, we give an additional capital grant.
Alder Business Micro-Finance is a wealth creation initiative.
Support for Refugees
We support the various nationalities (Liberians, Sierra Leoneans, Cameroonians, Congolese, Togolese, Sudanese and Ivorians) in Oru Refugee Camp, situated in Ogun State Nigeria, with food items. This camp is home to over 5,000 refugees.
Benevolent Intervention
We use this initiative to meet the following specific needs of individuals and families who are poor, needy or helpless: accommodation, foodstuff, clothing, scholarships and health finance (prescription drugs acquisition and subsidy / full payment for clinical surgeries).
Alder Internship Programme

At Alder Consulting our internship programme
is focused on three key issues:
1 Exposure to business principles
2 Character development
3 Intellectual development
The Programme usually holds during the summer holidays.
Students from the following countries have participated in the Programme: U.S.A, U.K, Belgium and Nigeria.
Other Contributions and pro bono causes
In furtherance of our conceptual vision - Thought Leadership & Generational Influence, we have also made the following contributions:
The Guaranty Trust Bank Cranfield University Case Study
We approached Cranfield University to do a case study on one of Nigeria's business models, Guaranty Trust Bank, with a view to further studies on other Nigerian brands. We undertook this initiative on a pro bono basis.
Cranfield University is the centre for distribution of case studies in Western Europe.
Junior Achievement of Nigeria (JAN)
Junior Achievement of Nigeria (JAN) is the Nigerian arm of the international movement focused on educating and inspiring young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives.
We developed a conceptual framework for the organisation's brand identity. And we facilitated an image & publicity strategy session to develop a PR programme for the organisation.
Fate Foundation
Fate Foundation is a private sector led initiative created to foster wealth creation by promoting business and entrepreneurial development among Nigeria youth. We have actively supported Fate Foundation through mentoring and our lecture series are highly rated by the organisation and the participants.
Mass Communication Department, University of Lagos
We have donated knowledge materials (the Alder Brand Report) to the Mass Communication Department of the University of Lagos. We also provide financial support for some of the department's programmes.
Faculty of Law, University of Lagos
We have delivered lectures at the Faculty and provided career counsel and advice.
Habitat for Humanity
We have consulted for Habitat for Humanity Nigeria, the Nigerian arm of Habitat for Humanity International. We crafted an entry penetration strategy for the NGO and also conceptualised and developed the organisation's positioning strategy.
