Little Saints Orphanage
(For abandoned, abused & orphaned children)
Executive summary: Since inception eleven years ago, the orphanage has rehabilitated over 500 children. These children are usually found malnourished, dehydrated and traumatised. Some have serious ailments like tuberculosis, hernia and infections caused by the harmful environment in which they are discovered. Some of them were abandoned in pits and refuse dumps. But the majority of the children have been nursed back to good health.
The orphanage receives an average of 5 babies a month ranging from new born to eighteen months old. Presently, it has over a hundred children from age 1 – 20. The first baby received by the founder was dumped at her doorstep in a polythene bag.
