Alder is a fusion of intellect and creativity. We
are a privately owned consulting firm with a UK subsidiary, Alder Consulting (UK) Limited.
     
What we do

We combine left-brain and right-brain capabilities in one organisation; formulating strategy, engineering HR & process and communicating organisational purpose using visual expressions and communication materials. Our areas of specialisation are strategy, research, media and IT. We developed a blueprint for moving Nigeria into the global Brand Economy, which was adopted by the Federal Government and also pioneered the mass use of online research in Nigeria. At Alder, we generate our own proprietary consulting tools and software.

Our organisational structure

We operate a flat organisational structure and there are no titles. The company is managed by an Executive Committee to which people are nominated. We have a unique shareholding
trust and employees are shareholders in the
company.

Over time, we've employed lawyers, philosophers, scientists, economists, bankers, doctors, mathematicians, computer scientists, humanities graduates and designers. What is essential is intellectual orientation and the unique application of knowledge and capability rather than a college degree.

We seek individuals who possess strategic and analytical ability, leadership qualities, creativity, exposure, drive, ambition and high intellectual content. Without drive, ambition and intellectual content, you CANNOT work at Alder. But your ambition must be tempered by virtue.

We work in an environment characterised by focus, originality and results. Our work environment is intense but fun and we TRY
to take time-offs once every month.

The chances that you'll be required to do what you've never done before are VERY high. You are encouraged to challenge any idea from any quarter; what we seek is soundness of reasoning and the courage to see things through: every job is a critical challenge and you will discover that no two jobs are the same, afterall no two clients are the same. What this means is that every new job requires a fresh approach and analytical rigour.
